Imprint invests in CCM Premier
Imprint Colour Printers, Lincoln has doubled productivity since investing in a latest generation CCM780 Premier Guillotine from Terry Cooper Services.
The general commercial operation that services a range of large and small clients including the Co-op, Siemens and the Diocese of Lincoln invested in the guillotine to replace an earlier model that had completed more than a decade of services at the operation.
Explains Production Manager Will Richardson: “We’d had the old CCM780 for more than ten years and it was getting a bit tired. The time was right to replace it so we spoke to Terry Cooper Services, went to see the guillotine the next day and within three days the system was up and running in our bindery.”
The £750,000 turnover general commercial firm produces litho print on a five-colour Oliver, two-colour Sakurai, single colour Sakurai and digital print on a Konica Minolta Bizhub.
“With three presses feeding the one guillotine it was under a lot of pressure and could be a bottleneck,” expands Mr Richardson. “The new model is so much faster that jobs previously taking a day now only take half a day. The back gauge is twice as quick and it is faster to set up. This all has a positive knock on effect and now the guillotining process is much more efficient.”
ncreased performance of the CCM780 Premier is the result of a number of product enhancements. The most recent of which only took place a few months ago. They included improved ergonomics and a new look designed to deliver more efficient operation.
Other optional new features are either 10” or 15″ touchscreen while air side-tables ensure ease of paper handling. There is also improved cutting accuracy, double rail, linear guide, ball bearing single-driven back gauge and fully-enclosed rear guarding.
Mr Richardson didn’t hesitate in installing a second CCM780 Premier from TCS. “The support and service we have had from TCS over the years has been fantastic,” he states. “Whenever we have needed anything they have been there straightaway. We know we can always rely on them.”
